How it works.

  1. Free consult. Online, or over coffee if you're near Portland. No pitch.

  2. We watch how you work. On a screen share, or on-site for Portland-area clients.

  3. Then we build, remotely. Once we have access to your systems, the work happens over Google Meet and screen sharing.

Questions we hear a lot.

What does Spearworks AI do?

Spearworks AI is an independent AI consulting practice for owner-run small businesses, companies up to 500 people, and nonprofits, schools, and grant-funded programs, working remotely across the United States. We find where AI actually fits in your operation, set up the tools, and train your team. Smaller projects are hourly with a not-to-exceed cap, and larger work is quoted as a fixed fee. No retainers required, no vendor commissions.

Is Spearworks AI a managed service provider (MSP)?

No. An MSP keeps your technology running: devices, logins, patching, outages. Spearworks AI finds the repetitive work eating your week and builds something that does it instead. We don't manage anything and we don't sell software. Plenty of businesses need both, and if an MSP is what you need we'll say so and help you find a good one near you.

Where does Spearworks AI work?

We're based in Clackamas, Oregon, and we work remotely with businesses and organizations across the United States. Sessions run on Google Meet with screen sharing, and our hours are Monday to Friday, 9 to 5 Pacific (noon to 8 Eastern). Clients in the Portland area can have the first visit on-site at no extra charge.

How much does AI consulting cost?

Implementation projects are billed time-and-materials at $150/hour with a written not-to-exceed cap, quoted in advance based on scope. The website review, the paid audit, and AI strategy are fixed fees. The free consult is $0. The website review is $150. The search and AI visibility baseline is $250, and the 90-day visibility program with three rechecks is $900. The written paid audit is $600, and everything you pay for it is credited toward your first implementation project if you start it within 60 days of the audit. AI strategy and policy is a fixed fee, quoted in writing before work starts, based on the size of the organization and the scope. Most implementation projects land in the $500 to $5,000 range. Ongoing advisory is $600/month (a 4-hour monthly minimum) with a 3-month commitment. Google and Meta Ads management is a flat monthly fee, never a percentage of your ad spend. The rate and the cap are in your written quote before anything starts.

Are you tied to any specific AI vendor or software?

No. We take no commissions, no referral fees, and no kickbacks from any AI vendor or software company. If ChatGPT is the right answer, we'll set up ChatGPT. If Claude, Gemini, or a niche industry tool fits better, we'll recommend that instead. Our incentive is the work going well, not the software you buy.

What if AI isn't the right answer for my business?

We tell you. Part of the job is being honest when AI is the wrong tool for what you're trying to do. We've turned down work where the better answer was a process change, a different software tool, or hiring a human. You won't get a pitch, and you won't get sold something you don't need.

What would you like to discuss?

Pick the option that fits, tell us a little about your business, and we'll get back to you within one business day. Some options will send you what you need immediately.

What happens next?
  1. If you picked the free consult, you'll pick a time on the next screen.
  2. If you asked a quick question, we'll answer by email within one business day.
  3. If you picked the website review or a visibility report, you'll pay on the next screen (Stripe), and the report arrives within five business days of payment.
  4. If you picked the paid audit, you'll pay on the next screen, then get a booking link for the session.
  5. For everything else, we'll be in touch within one business day to set up a call.
