Spearworks AI

Speaking

Plain-English AI talks for your team.

I'm Nathan Spear, an IT consultant who uses AI. Think of me as your IT and AI person. I can show your team how it works, and you don't need to be afraid of it.

Three talks, each one built from sessions I have already given to rooms of owners, members and practitioners. Every one ends with something the room can do the next morning.

The talks

Keynote or lunch-and-learn

Agents are here. Readiness isn't.

Most companies say they have rolled out AI agents. A small share of their people have used one at work, and fewer still can say what an agent is. This talk draws the line between what works today (one repetitive, hated task, drafted by AI and decided by a person) and what is being oversold: the AI receptionist, the chatbot trained on your website, the tool bought before the job is picked. You watch an agent do real work, then leave with the three readiness gaps that have nothing to do with technology.

Lunch-and-learn or member program

Make the AI you already pay for work.

Most small businesses do not have an AI problem. They have a plumbing problem: a contact form that sends to nobody, a listing with the wrong hours, an AI plan nobody read the terms of. This talk teaches three plain words (AI answers, plumbing, plan terms), then shows what to do with each one using tools you already own. No new software, no monthly fee.

Proof

A boat builder's contact form collected 718 messages over six years and sent every one to an address that was not his. We sorted them and found 562 real inquiries from 560 people. The reachable ones are in his own CRM now, and the recent kit inquiries have answers. He never had a traffic problem.

Hands-on workshop

Orchestrate your own agents.

One prompt, a whole week of work, four AI sub-agents running at once. This workshop shows the difference between handing an AI a task and handing it a job, then teaches the four lines every job needs before you hand it off: the job, the why, the guardrails, and what done looks like. You run the same demo on your own laptop with the prompt and the fictional data, both free.

Proof

Run live on October 15, 2026 for the CxXchange SuccessHour, co-hosted with Jan Young. The four agents finished in under five minutes and the room asked for the prompt.

Prompt, slides and demo kit

Fee

From $750 for a 60-minute session.

Chambers and nonprofits, ask. A recording of the session for your members and a working block after the talk are both available; we scope them in the consult.

How a booking works

  1. Step 1

    Tell me about the room

Who is in it, what they already use, and what you want them doing differently the next morning. That is the free consult.

  2. Step 2

I fit the talk to it

Same spine, your examples. A trades room hears about contact forms; a CPA room hears about plan terms and the written security plan the IRS asks for.

  3. Step 3

The room leaves with something to do

One task named, one check they ran on their own business, or four lines written for a job they already do by hand. Slides and materials are yours to keep.

Not sure which talk fits your room?

Book a free consult and we will pick it together. If none of the three is right, I will say so and point you somewhere better.
